I had a leak in my left front tire and decided to try and fix it myself. However, when I was taking off the tire two of the studs broke off when I was taking off the lug nuts (I didn't use penetrating oil when taking them off though it really should have been applied when they put on the lug nuts). In the past I have used fix-a-flat and similar ilk, but wanted to do things proper on my own. I brought my car back to Millers Corner Garage to have the studs drilled out and replaced. The flat ended up costing me almost $100. Yikes. | =0= |
For Barbara's (my former wife's) birthday, we went out for dinner. I noticed that the tree I had grown from seed and traveled cross country to Copake had been nibbled on badly by deer. On the way to dinner I had gotten a speeding ticket (45 in a 30 zone) in Copake. Early in May I was scheduled for a 'plea bargain' session (always before a trial) early in May. I visited my tree and was pleased to see that it seems to have survived the nibbling. | =0= |

Above are pictures of the Copake Town Hall where they have a general purpose room which on Monday evenings is set up for traffic court. Copake seems to have about six police officers all of whom were present. They seem to have routinely offered 'Parking on the pavement' as an alternative to speeding tickets. The town gets about the same fine, but there is no state surcharge and no points for driver's license or insurance. I thought I would have a pretty good chance at trial, but it would be another evening and, since it was a town court, there was certainly a risk. I plead guilty to 'Parking on the pavement' and paid my fine. | =0= |
In April we mostly finished the new construction on Stephen street and have moved on to the newest build, a rehabilitation of this house on Odell St.. This house was originally a stable in the 1820's. We are leaving the frame, roof, and exterior. The interior walls are taken down. They also poured a cement floor in the basement over the bare ground which it had previously. | =0= |
In early May, 2010, I was able visit the New Paltz, NY Dances of Univeral Peace (DUP) circle which I had visited previously. However, that was in the fall and it was dark when I got there. I was able to take this picture and the pictures below. Out front they have a hedge which is shaped like a woman welcoming in 'Namaste' the classical Hindu bow. | =0= |

Before the dance people had fun stretching on the giant balls which were available for the Yoga classes. Here is Maitreya who played the guitar and led dances. | =0= |
