Trip to Korea

There is a voice description of each slide that you can listen to while looking at the slides. It is from the cassette tapes we made almost thirty years ago. I was pretty long winded (no rehearsals or editting and tapes were cheap) and the section for this page is about three minutes and will take about a minutes to download with a dial up connection. So might you not want to get it unless you have a broadband connection to the internet.

Click on any of the little pictures to see it at normal size. Click on the '=0=' after the picture to see it in giant size (about 2 minutes to download on dialup connection and larger than screen size). This could be useful if you wanted to really look at one part of the picture or to make a print.

This is the Roman Pantheon which was in surprisingly good repair for a building that is about two thousand years old. In the lower left corner of this picture you can seem Barbara operating a water fountain. Below on the left is a picture of the doors to the Panthen. They are really large as you can see my the way they dwarf Barbara. Next to that is a picutre of the back of the Pantheon. Roman Pantheon. =0=

Above on the left is a picture of the view as you enter the Pantheon. There would be about eight grottos like this all around the room each with an image of one of the old Roman gods. Next to that is a picture of the massive dome roof with an opening in the center. This is a picture of one the statues around the room as is the picture on the left below. Next we went to the Roman zoo. Below is a picture an elephant that was begging for food which made us a little sad. Roman Pantheon Statue. =0=

Above on the left is another picture of the elephant. We were pleased that the elephant wasn't chained which is pretty common with elephants at zoos. The next slide if of some black bears. This picture is a lion in his enclosure. Roamn Black Bear. =0=
This is a picture of a Roman giraffe bending down to grab a bite of a little grass. Roamn Giraffe. =0=
