These slides are from Paris, France. If you notice, all of these are washed out. I assume that I loaded my camera without adjusting the film setting in New Jersey and then took pictures there, in London (the start of that series) and then headed to Paris where I took these. In Paris I switched rolls and correctly set the film setting. I returned through London and took more pictures. Paris, France =0=

In 1975 France we were pretty far estranged from the U.S. and so there were no soldiers stationed there. As there weren't any soldiers, there also weren't any transient barracks. I probably could have stayed at youth hostels, but instead just bummed around and slept under park benches (carrying a large yellow back pack). I wasn't very comfortable (no showers and such) and so didn't stay long. While I was making an OK salary as a lieutenant, I wasn't used to spending serious money (never had much to spend before). Here is a picture of the Eiffel Tower. Below are pictures of the area around the Eiffel Tower. Paris, France =0=

Here and below are pictures taken from the Eiffel Tower. I think I took the stairs to the second level. There were lots of nice fountains and pools as well as a good view of the River Seine. Paris, France =0=
