| The local group found another place that they could rent for their
meetings very close to Jerry's house. So, on April 5, we met the storage
area in Scappoose, OR at 9:30AM to load up about half of the stuff in storage
into the rented truck. |
 |
| David met us there with a truck (from Budget). It was a larger truck
and we only needed to fill it about half way (convering the deck but
not stacking very high). That only took a couple of hours and we
were off to Portland. |
 |
| The new location is in the second floor of a small strip mall. It is
built into the side of a hill and has lots of trees making it a very nice
strip mall. |
 |
| Here is the section which will be the Amrit (or where food is served). |
 |
| It even has a built in little kitchen which is ideal for Amrit. |
 |
| Here is the area where Satsangs will be held. |
 |
| On April 6 there was a family Satsang an Janea's house (shown here). There about five
kids from 6 to 8 and a two year old along with about five adults. It was very nice.
The older kids (12 and up) went on an outing to do Cosmic Bowling (bowling with
black lights, strobe lights, etc.). |

For Easter, Alex got a couple of Easter baskets and a really big card from my
mom. Here is Alex opening the card from my mom. |
 |
Alex also got his share of candies. He often likes to count and
arrange stuff. Here he has arranged and is counting his little chocolate rabbits.. |
 |
| In Alex's Easter basket there were also toys, monster trucks in this case.
He was really excited to get some more monster trucks to play with. |
 |
| Alex really enjoyed his Easter. He looks quite happy in this picture with his
monster truck. |

| Vancouver, WA, especially the Cascade Park section where karyn lives is a sort
of shopping heaven. It has Albertsons and Safeway (they have some good sales) as
well as a Winco and Fred Meyer which have very good prices all the time. Soon
Wal-mart will be opening super centers all along the West coast with this
one opening in Vancouver. Amazing. |

| I have been applying for various driving jobs. First a couple of cement mixer
companies, but no response. Then bus drivers for schools, but my timing was not
good as they have just finished the training for the last bunch they will need
before summer. First Student is a company that drives school buses in Gresham, OR
(30 minute drive) and still needed drivers to train. However, I had a pretty
thorough interview with Gloria and admitted that I was only planning on driving
until I could get programming work. She really prefers people who will drive
for a good while so probably won't call me back. However, the interview
was good practice for closer school districts (like the local Evergreen
School District) which have better pay and where I might stay for a while. |
