Saint Peter's Basilica was quite large and everywhere you looked there were beautiful works of art. I didn't want to use up all the diskettes I brought at one place, but Nikki's camera had lots of space. She took these pictures there. Saint Peter's Basilica. =0=

These are some more pictures that Nikki took at Saint Peter's Basilica. Here is a picture of Jay, too. We saw a few of the Swiss guards who guard the Vatican City (below). From the Vatican City we headed off on a walking tour to see the two places that Nikki really wanted to visit. Below is a picture Nikki took of an American Steak House. Somehow those didn't have the same appeal to us as pizza, but then I guess they are a better representation of America than MacDonald's which we also saw a lot of. Jay at Saint Peter's Basilica. =0=

We had a good street map of the center of Roma and headed off to see stuff that was along the way. Above are pictures of the columns of St. Michael's Square (looks more like a circle to many). Shown here is one of the small buses that went along the narrow streets that are most common in Rome. Below is picture of the Fiume Tevere (river through Rome). On the other side of the river the streets got really narrow (too narrow for even the small buses). Small Bus in Rome, Italy =0=
