At work they are continuing to expand. We have a new off shore programming effort which has established an office in Bangadore, India. It started with three programmers visiting Portland for training. Above are Kumar and Raj at a lunch for the trainees. Next to that is Priya. She came up from the office in San Carlos, CA (along with Sangeetha) to help with the training. Meanwhile, Candi had been having health problems and was let go (formally because she didn't call in by 9AM on days when she wouldn't be coming in). So sad. Last I heard she had to give up her place and was staying with her mom, which is surely trying. Here is Ellery, one of our staff from the NYC office who was visiting and sitting at Candi's old desk (just to my right beyond John's desk as I faced my computer). =0=
Here is Shamir. She is our new receptionist. Joanne is still with us, but she is training for a position in Professional Services (part of the sales team). Shamir. =0=

Meanwhile, I got a call from Salvis in India. He was trying to connect with Edgar who I had worked with in New Orleans and Tulane. He was hoping to contact Edgar for a reunion they were having in India. I had lost track of Edgar with Katrina, but he pointed to a web page from where he was relocated in Texas as shown below (he is the one in a blue shirt and grey pants). Salvis also sent me some of Edgar's pictures from his school days (above and here). Cool. . =0=
Here is the Portland Christmas tree (or is it a holiday tree now, who is to know) in Pioneer Square with Pioneer Court House beyond. I have asked that the appeal of my federal case with the Ninth Circuit court be heard here, one of the smaller court houses where their cases are heard. The pictures below are also of the Pioneer Court House. =0=

Meanwhile, the parking lot building which they had dug out, was now looking more like the park that it was promised to be as you can see above. The building across from our building is being refurbished (to be a hotel). In this picture you can see our building on the left. My desk used to face the building being refurbished, but we swapped areas and now are on the far side (much quieter). =0=
They have put a construction elevator on the outside to bring up supplies and such. They also demolished an older three story building on the other side of this building which is shown below. I even made a short video of the back hoe. Portland, OR. =0=
=0= Demolished Building. =0=
At the corner between the building which was demolished and the building being refurbished is the old Bidwell Building, shown here. It is an impressive building, but not very useful (mostly lobby with not much office space). Bidwell Building. =0=
