This is Marie. She is the AE for Webroot which is one of the clients that I work on the most. She was in one of the junior cubicles when I started but has moved into one of the middle cubicles. Marie.
This is Ann. She was in a middle cubicle when I started but now is in one of the end cubicles. She sits where Kevin sat. I am sad that I never got a picture of Kevin. He and his wife have gone to Japan for a year (she is Japanese). What to do? Ann.
Here is Dennis (with Darrel in the background). His cubicle is just beyond Ann's and I had to climb over the heating/cooling system by the window to get this picture with good lighting. Leslie's cubicle is just behind his. Dennis is the AE for Graco which is the client for my most recent major project. Dennis.
This is Joel. He is pretty new (started a while before I did), but hasn't moved. Perhaps he likes that fact that he can talk with the most senior Data Specialists just beyond the purple divider (Candi and John). Joel.
This is Laurie. She is one of the people from Professional Services. They are in the area on the other side of the Data Specialists. They organize longer term projects than the AE's. So, she has coordinated the major projects I have worked on with Webroot and Graco. Laurie.
This is Lynn and she is also with Professional Sevices. Her cubicle is is just behind Laurie's. My latest effort with Webroot (a lifecycle analysis) is being handled by Lynn. Lynn.
This is Anyess, the receptionist at the desk beyond the Professional Services area. She is kept busy keeping the whole operation running smoothly. She keeps track of all of us (and that could be like herding cats), ordering supplies, monitoring the break room, etc.. Anyess.
The company I work for now, YesMail.com had a picnic, but it was only at the San Jose, CA office. The folks in Portland, OR felt a little deprived, and, not wanting to be outdone, we had our own picnic (except minus the barbeque, outdoors, and hula hoops). It was a potluck we had in the big conference room on August 24, 2005. The conference room (called room with a view) has a large central table which was covered with all sorts of good food. Yumm. And this was early on.Here are John, Eugene, and Kranti just getting settled in. Room with View.
It was a nice opportunity to visit with people that you don't usually work with. Here is Jim (forground) and Matt (behind him), the manager of the web designer group. Jim and Matt
Here are most of the web designers. I don't work with them directly so haven't really learned their names (how embarrassing, but I really am bad about names). I will see if I get someone's help in filling this in and then I will have good chance to learn their names (aren't computers grand). Web designers.
On August 26, 2005, it was the last day for Adam, one of our System Admin people, speciallizing in Unix. I couldn't let him get away without getting a picture, so had my camera out. Marie saw and must have decided turn about is fair play and took my picture. Well, I had taken her picture (at top), so I guess I can't complain. Brian.
