| In the afternoons I took a seminar led by Marlene and my friend / roommate, Eric, shown above. It was on Cross Gender Communication and used a fishbowl format. It was quite interesting, but there were so many other seminars that it was hard to just do the one. I did skip on Thursday afternoon for another seminar. On Wednesday morning I went on a Downstream Canoe trip similar to last year. Here and below are our group getting set up. I had three different canoe mates, none of whom were as interesting to talk to a Ronnie, but that is more about Ronnie and I and not so much about my new partners. |

| We stopped and had breakfast at a site where there had been a bridge across the river (the New River). Just above the site was a dirt road which led to this historical farmhouse. For the canoe trip, the leaders asked us to pair off, but when we were all paired off they realized that it would be better if they weren't in the same canoe and so my selected partner and I split up to be with the leaders. I was in the 'sweep canoe' and made this video of the group ahead of us. |
