In Atlanta I was frustrated because they have a CityPass marketing company which has allied with several of the major attractions. The attractions are overly expensive ($15 to $30 each) and the only affordable way to see them is to buy a pass to six ($12 each). Also, as these eight are heavily marketed it is hard to find the less expensive alternatives (which are not so heavily marketed). Grrrr. The first of the CityPass attractions we visited was the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Here I am with one of several copper frog scultures that were around the garden. This is the newer main entrance garden. It is quite impressive. Atlanta Botanical Garden, GA. =0=

I made a video of the sounds in one of their rain forest buildings as well as a video of a little waterfall there. There were also some baby birds in one of the habitats and I made a video of them and a video of an adult/parent. Sometimes the sprinklers above would mist the rain forest as shown below. There was a very nice Japanese garden (above). Inside one of the exhibitions there was a 'Miracle Fruit' plant. At SUUSI 2010 there had been a seminar where we each tried a single berry and then tasted sour and bitter foods. For me, straight lemon tasted sweet (like intense lemonade) after the berry. Amazing!
