| In mid October I went to the Albany area Unitarian / Universalist annual retreat at Silver Bay close to Lake George. It is an old hotel, over 100 years old, that has been a YMCA retreat facility for most of its life. I stayed in a dorm with two other guys. It was old style with just a room and a shared bathroom / shower at the end of the hall. The dining hall had been rebuilt in the style of the original and is next to the main buiilding. They had a buffet as shown below. There was also wonderful old wooden auditorium across the way (below) where they had an awesome talent show on Saturday evening. |

| They also had a wonderful old church (below) and a group that practiced singing spiritual songs that celebrate the feminine. I thought it would be fun (which it was), but I was the only guy with about a dozen women. Did I miss a clue that it was for women only. However, it was good and I was welcome. We sang three songs in the talent show. |

| The hotel was on the side of mountain just above the shore. Saturday morning there was a hike to the top of the mountain. It didn't cover all that much distance, but there was loads of elevation. I made a short video of a stream that we hiked along. |
