In Albany they have a Christmas tradition of putting up a lot of Christmas lights in the main park, Washington Park. They normally charge cars $15 to drive through, but in early December they had a 'ride in the park' evening (before the cars were admitted at 6PM). It was a $5 donation. Many of the lights were timed for motion. Here is a short video of one. There is one main building in the park. I bicycled to the ride from work and adjusted my clothes and got out my camera there. It was the headquarters for the Christmas lights and their staff. It was also decorated as shown below. | ![]() |

I made up videos of a gingerbread man jumping over the road and lights feigning motion. The whole event was sponsered by Hannaford a local food store chain (as can be seen above), but given the fees charged I wonder why they required sponsors at all. | ![]() |
