Here is Al. He was at Green Haven 15 years ago when I visited there. He got out about three years ago and is hoping to help lead prison satsangs if his parole is ended. When I first met him at Green Haven I was struck by what a great soul he was and honored to spend time with him. Below is Joe (who provided us lunch on Monday), Madhu, the director of the prison project, Rose Anne, and Vinaya. Also below is a picture with me, Vinaya, and Al and others. | =0= |

Here is Sonalim. She is from Mexico and and is the other full time staff person in the Prison Project office. A lot of our incarcerated yogis get their lessons in Spanish, so she is ever so helpful in that and many other ways. Below are pictures of Vinaya a trainee from Montreal and also Sonalim. | =0= |

It turns out only a few of the buses from NYC to Albany go to SUNY (where my car was) so I needed to leave a little early (4PM versus 4:30PM) to get a reasonable bus. I took the subway, just a block away, straight down to Port Authority. I am a little annoyed as they charge a 25 cent surcharge to get a single use ticket and their multi-trip cards cost a dollar, but my previous multi-trip card was expired by a few months and they wouldn't credit me the dollar like their web page said. Grrr! Oh well, I guess they have fees for occassional users. | =0= |

The subways are much cleaner and somewhat quieter than I remember from the early 90's when I was often commuting to NYC. I made a short vidoe of an passing express train and the local I took. My camera still hasnb't turned up so I am considering replacing it, but my cell phone does take nice videos. Then I walked through tunnels to the Port Authority and took the bus back to SUNY Albany. | =0= |

The next weeekend there was a training for the Capital District Unitarian / Universalist Congregations, Teaching as a Spiritual Practice. Both Schnectady and Albany have large established congregations while Glenn Falls and Saratoga, not so much. The training was held in Saratoga to foster a regional community though none of the Saratoga or Glenn Falls Sunday School volunteers were able to attend. Doh! Above is the house across the street from the Saratoga church as well as church itself and their sanctuary (here). | =0= |
