Here are a few pictures of David working in the lab. The table top is pretty high (with my main server and disk drives around his feet). | |
| David sometimes works from home (usually one day a week). at his house, or, if he needs to connect to work, at my house | |
David mostly uses his IBM ThinkPad from schoool. It is quite a nice computer, though really slender and light. | |
| Right now David is working on speeding up a web page that queries a database and is much too slow (at least until David is done with it). | |
David seems to prefer a chair with a back even if it is a bit low for the table top. I wonder if I can get a better chair for him. | |
| The lab is suprisingly warm as it now just chock full of racks and racks of servers. That is good as David likes it warm and the rest of the building is pretty cold. | |
David does seem to enjoy his coding. It is nice talking shop with him and having lunch, commuting together. | |
