On April 20, 2001 I visited my son, David, at RPI in Troy, NY (just outside of Albany). My first stop was his dorm, BarH. David's room is along the right side. |

To the left is a view up the hill along the right side. On the right is the front view of David's dorm. |
I met David in his room and took this picture. Then we started loading up my car with stuff from his dorm as he had too much stuff for one car load and the semester ends in a couple of weeks.<

After loading my car, we went by the main dining hall at RPI. |
David wasn't very hungry and was eating pretty healthy (burger and carrot sticks). Oops I caught him mid bite. Sorry. |
Then we headed to the RPI Playhouse where they were putting on the musical Chess. This is the last run of Chess before it returns to Broadway. |
Irene took our tickets. She also plays D&D and Magic. She played different parts in other productions. |
Now, if you want to see Chess, you will have to see it on Broadway. However, the production I saw had a surprise ending. The Broadway production may not pick up on this ending. |
No pictures were allowed during the production. |
This is John. He helped move walls during the production. He also plays D&D and Magic. He will be David's roommate next year. |
The surprise ending was that the American and Soviet spies decided that true love was more important than a silly game. They were best men at the wedding. |
No pictures were allowed during the production. |
Wow, there was a lot of stuff in David's room. Can you believe it all fit in his room? |
Well Duane and I unloaded the car and now David's stuff is waiting for him here in Yorktown, NY. |
