West Point had some really wonderful views of the Hudson river shown here and above. I had a real affection for that island shown in the picture above and to the right. Just above the water was a train line which was for freight trains. There were train tracks on the other side of the river as well, but they mostly had passenger trains. | ![]() |
This picture was taken in the fall of 1975. Also shown is Dee and a little bit of her daughter, BJ. I dated Dee through much of 1975 and there are more picutres of her and BJ from the fall. | ![]() |

The picture above is a bit of mystery to me, but it might be the entrance to the laundry. Normally cadets would send their laundry out in big bags and each smaller bag (underwear) and item would be marked with a glued (starch like glue) on cloth tag (number) and then returned once cleaned. The only time cadets went to the laundry is if they were missing laundry and then you were allowed to pick out comparable items from the huge piles of laundry that was not traceable (lost tag or whatever).
