Above are a couple of pictures of the church in N. Saddleworth, Maude and Edward's village. It was pretty old, about 1500 I believe. This looks an overview of Uppermill, the town they were a part of. Below is a picture of their house and Edward's garden. After Edward passed away, Maude needed to sell some of their land and other houses were built on the lot as well. They are in Lancashire which is one of the more Northern counties (or shires) in England, just west of Yorkshire where many of my relatives are from. | =0= |

There were some interesting rocks on the moors. One is shown above with the second including Edward. Here is an interesting hole a limestone rock. Below are is a WWI war memorial that is out in the moors. It seemed like an odd place for a war memorial to me, but who is to say where memorials ought to be. | =0= |

Above are some rocks on the moors which many people think were stacked in ancient times, similar to the Stonehenge, but not nearly as impressive. Here is another view of the moors. We were able to take a bicycle ride along a converted train right of way and below are pictures of Edward and Maude (at the end of the group) and then just Maude with her bicycle. | =0= |
