Between Ashdown and the academic area was Massachusetts Avenue. Above are pictures of my Taiwanese roommate and the Great Dome across Massachusetts Avenue. Next to that is a picture of Boston across the Charles River and Memorial Drive from Ashdown. Here and below are pictures of me and my friend from Taiwan (you will have to guess who is who) in the court yard in front of the Great Dome. Next to that is a picture of the chapel which was on the other side of Ashdown (away from the river). Brian =0=

The was the main M.I.T. auditorium. It is just to the left after you leave Ashdown away from the river. Just to the right of the auditorium is the Student Center (which makes it directly in front of Ashdown in that direction and the chapel is just a bit further to the right). If you turn right after leaving Ashdown you face the academic area just across Massachusetts Avenue as shown here. This would be the view from the Auditorium. Below is the view from Massachusetts Avenue and the view back toward the Student Center. M.I.T., Cambridge, MA =0=

This is the base of the academic building which you can see in the background of the picture of me toward the top of this page. I never had any classes in this building and don't remember which department used it most. M.I.T., Cambridge, MA =0=
