Kranti had her baby and came in to visit us mid April. It was nice seeing her again and we all look forward to her return to work (hopefully soon). | =0= |
This is Kranti parent's visiting our offices with her. | =0= |
In March Eugene moved over and became a Junior DBA helping Marty out. That meant he moved to the double cubicles in the center of the building freeing up his desk. So I moved to his desk (now mine) and my old desk is empty until a replacement joins us. This is the view out the window from my new desk (the reason I moved was for the view). On the roof of the shorter building there were a couple of window washers (I assume) who were moving their equipment down below. The building on the right has been closed throughout my time at AtOnce / Yesmail. There are rumors that they have problems with asbestos and just shut down rather than trying to fix it. The building is just used to store stuff including some of AtOnce / Yesmail's furniture. | =0= |
It was really interesting to watch when they needed to move their equipment. If you look closely they are picking up the bar which holds the ropes out away from the edge. The ropes and bars attach to the what looks like a fence, but is really the supports for window washing and such equipment. | =0= |

On April 23, 2006, Deborah visited the He Said / She Said and I was intrigued as she seemed quite interesting. I got her email address so that she could put out copies of the calendars for the singles group at NTMO (as Tim had been hurt at work), though I may have had ulterior motives as well. I then suggested she might go to the Contra dance the next Saturday and we got visit one on one there (as well as laugh and dance together). After that I was quite smitten with her. The next weekend we met and had dinner before going to Syda Yoga (above is the center where the satsang was). Here she is before dinner. We walked for a long time after the satsang and really got to know each other. Then on Saturday we went to a really fine Sufi dance in Salem. On Sunday I went to NTMO (new thought church) and then we went to the Singles planning meeting. | =0= |

The next weekend we went to Syda Yoga on Friday, but she had a class on Saturday and there was a Singles hike sponsored by Richard which I wanted to go on. Karen joined us on the hike and we all had a very nice time. It was a beautiful day and much fine scenery. We also met some very nice people, one of which took the two pictures above (my camera's battery was really weak and I only got this picture). We were planning on going to the Singles video night, but it was cancelled so we just got a video and watched it at her house. | =0= |
The next day (May 14) was Mother's Day and all of Deborah's kids were visiting. This is Missy. She is living up in Tacoma now, but came down early and made a totally awesome Mexican lunch from scratch with beans, rice, enchiladas (chicken and beef) and fried ice cream. It was awesome. Tihs is Missy working on the enchiladas. Missy was a Marine but recently got her MBA. She also set up Deborah's computers. Below on the left is Eli, Deborah's youngest, who was also a Marine, but is now working on a beef cattle farm along the Oregon coast. In the middle below is another picture of Deborah. I still haven't gotten one that captures her sparkling personality, but will keep trying. Next to her is her daughter Kari. | =0= |
