D, Cathy and Gerta. =0= Unitarian Universalist Congregation Church. =0=
For the summer solstice, the Sufi Dance group (more formally the Universal Dances for Peace) in Salem had a special dance and I headed down to Salem with D. We met Cathy and had dinner at the Marco Polo Restaurant (above) with her son's Grandmother from Germany, Gerta (that would make her Cathy's ex mother-in-law, but they are much too close for that to apply). The Salem group has moved to a Unitarian Church; they had met in a Quaker meeting house that was more central, but not as nice a space. They had a beautiful area to dance, but that picture didn't come out. Doh! I will just have to visit again. They have been hiring more people at work. This is David, a new account executive who is sitting in the old account manager area where Claire used to sit. Sadly, Claire may be leaving us in a few weeks to spend more time with her kids (but what about us)?! David. =0=
Casey. =0= Kyle. =0=
Another new person is Casey who joined us a little while ago, but was in QA until she moved to be an Account Manager this week. She will be replacing Claire and is sitting in her spot in Brandy's area. Next to here is another picture of Kyle. It is not very good either, and the last one had been mislabeled (now corrected). Behind Kyle in that picture is Matt (not really visible) and Casey's area. Richard has left us but we hired Jay. He will be working more as a Team Lead working mo0stly on the newer system, Enterprise. Jay. =0=

Above on the left is Andrew, another new Account Manager. Next to that is Adam, he heads up the CSE's on the East Coast. He works out of the New York office and is visiting us this week. Also visiting this week is Julie who heads up the Account Managers on the East Coast. She works out of the Chicago office. . =0=
Then I was off to Albany, NY and, later, to Italy. I went to Italy with my son Jay and his friend Nikki. She took lots of pictures on her own. Continental Flight to NJ. =0=
Brett. =0= Kara. =0=
There have continued to be new faces at work. Above is Brett who was our receptionist for a few weeks, but she didn't want to stay on. Pooh. Next to her is Kara. She had been working in QA, but has switched to be an Account Manager. The CSEs (my team) moved back to the QA area (close to where we started three years ago. Below you can see our new area. Candi is in pink along the left. John sits facing her. I am to John's left next to the windows. Doug is just in front of me with his back to the window. The three empty desks are for the off-shore contractors who came later. The QA team had sat in this area and they and Account Managers have moved into our old area (as they work closely together, it was thought it would be better if they sat closer together). We moved just in time as they are doing serious construction on Sixth Avenue (shown below) which was just below our old location. There is short video of the work which gets pretty noisy. Joanne. =0=

Park Avenue Parking Lot. =0= . =0=
The construction on the Park Avenue Parking Lot is finishing up. Here they are laying out rebar and such and below they are doing a concrete pour using a pumper truck. I also took a short video of them loading truck with the crane from the center of the build. I noticed a lot of bounce in the load due to the long length of the crane arm and cable. What to do? There has been good progress in my federal civil suit. I have needed to look up cases from the Ninth Circuit Court as they will be the appeals court for this matter and their decisions aren't as widely published. However, they have a law library just a few blocks from where I work, shown above and here. It is very nice. The matter is likely to be appealed to the Ninth Circuit Court in the next couple of months. Park Avenue Parking Lot. =0=
