From Deb and Russ's house I headed back to NY with a quick stop at Mark and Ruth's just North of DC. Initially I backtracked through Roanoke, VA (which was some pretty driving) and took backroads to Rockville, MD to avoid DC traffic, but then got back on the I95 corridor above DC as I was headed to Southport, CN to meet with a friend, Pat, (shown here) at the Pequot Library in Southport, CT (above). I picked up her old computer in order to preserve the data on the hard drive. | =0= |

In Watervliet just North of the town center is an old church which has been converted into the town museum (above). Here is a view from Albany City Hall. Below are views of the Watervliet Library. | =0= |

Shortly after I got back they were repairing the roof of the house where I am staying. They had a more serious problem than they expected and had to replace the underlying plywood. Here is a video of them pulling up old roof. They also had problems and step through the ceiling in Mark's room and the kitchen (above). After my long trip I was back to helping out at the rehab that Capital District Habitat for Humanity is doing at Odell. They have replaced the back wall, put in the windows, and put up the siding. Hardly looks like a rehab now. | =0= |

Here is the interior of the new back wall. We are all set for drywall, but as this is a rehab, the frame is not very square and so drywalling is a pain and the mud is worse. What to do? | =0= |
