| Lately I have tried a few Meetup.com events, first with a singles group for 45+ people. They mentioned a very active hiking group in the area, Hiking M8s. I went on a medium hike (trail quality, distance, and speed), B2B - Berlin Mountain via the Taconic Crest Trail. There were 30 people who RSVPed yes and two on the waiting list. 22 actually showed up which was a pretty good turn out (I am told). The trail had really cool white diamonds on a blue background. Others were simple blue dots, of course, but those are quite common (you know, the blue trail). |

| The next day, Sunday, after church at FUUSA, there was a C+2B hike, Hadley Mountain (Fire Tower). It was a smaller group, supposed limited to 10, but actually attended by 11 even though there was light rain predicted (and actual). |

| The hike was quite pleasant and it was a great group. The light rain kept us pretty cool but once we got to the top it was a little chilly and the cloud cover restricted what I am told is normally a wonderful view. Above and below on the left are pictures taken by other members of the group which include me. They were shared on the meetup site and are tagged if you access them directly. |
