After the ferry, we drove to Poulsbo. Cathy stayed at her sister's, Elizabeth's apartment in Poulsbo (shown here) while I stayed with Kate and her family shown below. I met them through CourchSurfing.org. We had dinner at a nice restaurant which we walked to from central Poulsbo which overlooked the harbor. Elizabeth's Apt, Poulsbo, WA. =0=

The next morning we drove up to Neah Bay and the NW tip of Washington. We had lunch at a nice restaurant on the reservation there and then drove to the trail head for the Shi Shi Beach. Trail Head for Shi Shi Beach, WA. =0=

The trail to Shi Shi Beach started in the reservation and then entered the national park where the beach was. The section in the reservation was pretty well maintained (a sort of log board walk), while the section in the National park got pretty muddy making for a slower walk. I was in tennis shoes and tried to avoid the mud, but finally gave up and they were covered (and filled with mud). Above is a picture of me and here is a picture of Cathy with her new hat. Cathy. =0=
