We then walked up behind the shrine where there were numerous prayer flags. Lamala explained that each time the wind blew the prayer flags, the good intentions of the prayer was sent out into the atmosphere. He also mentioned that it was good for us to take a prayer flag home with us, but that didn't make any sense to me (then). Below is a picture with our guide taking a picture. Next to that is a picture of Lamala with the mountains behind him. He sugggested we take the picture from down sitting so that he would look taller. Doesn't he look grand! | =0= |

We then continued up our ridge and down the neighboring ridge to the monastery. Above is the water tower for all the facilities. Also above here and below is the original shrine room with the original monks' rooms. As we proceeded to the main shrine room and monastery, we saw young monks playing soccer on a field well below. Any stray kick had them scampering down the hill to retrieve the ball, all good exercise I presume. | =0= |
