We then drove back to Tashi Jong Monastery and Tspak led us back to the house where Lamala had stayed as one of his relatives had dies there and they were completing the prayers and rituals to help him have a smooth passing. It was Nawang's father who had passed and she was visiting from California to help with the process. It was a pretty long and winding pathway to his parents house including passing a sort of barn. They have a lovely house with a fine stupa. Below are pictures of Tspak and Dawa and Lamala and his relatives. | =0= |

Above are Dawa and Nawang. There is a lovely view Nawang's House with rice paddies and the monastery. Nawang also took us on a tour of the house after we all had tea and cookies. They have a very nice kitchen and out back they were making tormas (see video), very beautiful ritual food offerings. I think it is a wonderful process giving the entire family roles in the preparations, helping with the mourning process (see video). | =0= |

They were also cutting what looked like slivers of wood for the tormas as seen in this video. They had put out rice for the birds and dozens of parakeets landed in a flock to eat it, but they were pretty cautious / shy and I only got a picture of these few before they flew off. They had also collected a special clay and prepared it to make the Buddha impressions seen here and below. Also below are little stupas which each contain a little bit of the bones after he was cremated. | =0= |
