In the picture above on the left you can see the little room which Sam rented when he first arrived for about $14 a month. However it was halfway up the mountain and not very convenient to anything (but it did have running water and an attached toilet / shower). He has since moved a few times and now pays about $110 a month for a one bedroom apartment. How extravagant! Below is Sam's living / working area along with his puja. He gets internet access through the cell company (and a dongle) for about $10 a month. | =0= |

Above is Sam's kitchen and bed. We then took a back way to a Nepalese restaurant for lunch. Below if you notice there are lots of pipes. It turns out there is a crytstal clear lake above McClound (the actual town above Dharamsala where we were) which everyone uses for water, but each house needs to run their own pipe for water. Yikes! Such inefficiency. | =0= |

We had a wonderful eclectic meal. Sam ordered the vegetable enchilada and I had a mushroom pizza while Ozzie and Elena had Tibetan food. We all shared. Ozzie took the picture of me, Sam and Elena. It was a late lunch and as we wanted to make a couple of stops on the way back to Sherab Ling Monastery, we headed back to the main market where our driver had left us and did a little shopping on the way. | =0= |
