At the top of the stairs there was a side entrance to this shrine. It is almost completed and very beautifully done, but there were men working on painting the tables for the monks as shown in this video. | =0= |

There was also a wokrman chiselling the dedication of the shrine by the Dalai Lama on March 31, 2012, just over a week from now as shown above and in this video. If you stepped back away from the shrine entrance, you saw that it was the base of really large image of Buddha, reported as the largest Buddha image in the world at 70 meters in height. There was also a really great view of Tso Pema / Rewalsar. | =0= |

There were stairs which took you up to a second level where there was another shrine, this one inside the image of Buddha itself. There were also stairs to a third level and a ladder still higher, but the way was barred. Doh! | =0= |
