The view from the top was quite impressive. Below is a picture of Dawa taking a picture of Tspak on the cannon there. The lower fort can also be seen and you can get some feel for how large it really is. You can also see the huge pool which was used as their water supply (under siege I presume). The monkeys were hanging out beside that area. | =0= |

Underneath the cannon mount at the tip of the hill was there magazine area (I presume) where they would keep their gunpowder. That area has been converted in the Saint Janadan Swami Temple. It is quite dark in there, but I was able to get these pictures of two of the pujas using flashlights for light (above). Carved out of the rock are the swami's feet. We then all headed down to the town and bus. The views of the cliffs do look most formidable (below). | =0= |

After seeing the fort we stopped for a bit at the local shops for tea and such. They were making cane juice (with a touch of lime and most of us got a glass. Here is video of the man making the sugar cane juice. The next day we had our flight back but it was in the afternoon so we made a quick trip to the pharmacy. I got a cough syrup as I was coming down with a cold. I had aspirin and John had a decongestant he gave me. There were seven of going so we took two cabs, one seating four with me riding in the front. Yippee! Here is a video of the ride. The ping ping of the two stroke engine was not too clear in the video. :-( | =0= |
