| In July I headed to SUUSI where I was on youth staff (for the first time) and helping out with the 9-10 year olds. Above is a picture of the staff member taking a picture of the 9-10 year olds, all three groups of 12 or so. | The three groups of 9 and 10 year olds used a wing of a dorm which was decorated to be more friendly as shown above. We used three rooms, one room full of mattresses for our meeting area (and games too), another with tables for arts and crafts, and another with the floor marked off with masking tape and a place for each child to put their stuff. In another wing of that dorm were arts and crafts where we made faux stained glass with plexiglass and painted wax paper shown here with Daisy, Liz, Julia (behind her work), Riley, Joseph, Kenton, Mia, Simon, Hugh, Spike and Gavin (shown here). Our group also included Morgan, but she was only with us a little as she did many 'family friendly' events with her dad. |

| We also went to a nearby park, Bissett Park, where we played a Silly Olympic game. All the 9-10 year olds were divided into four teams and their team leaders wore a shower cap covered with shaving cream. The kids took turns throwing cheetos and trying to get them to stick to the head of their leader. |

| In one of the other 9-10 groups there was a girl, Leslie, who was very friendly, but not really interested in the games. We hung out for a bit. I took her picture (above) and she took mine along with several others, one of which is shown here. |
