While I was a graduate student, along with studying and programming, I also went on bicycling trips in the areas around Boston. Above and below are pictures of Linda. She was also a graduate student in Applied Mathematics. I was really interested in Computer Science, but M.I.T. did not have a Computer Science program, so you could only study Computer Science if you were in one of three departments including Applied Mathematics. She was a real mathematician while I was a pretender. We took the same standard Applied Mathematics courses as well as bicycling together. This is Will. Below is Care, a social worker who accompanied us on some rides. | =0= |

Above is another picture of Linda and here is another picture of Will. Will was also a Computer Science graduate student (same class as mine as was Linda), but I believe he was in the Electrical Engineering department. He and I were both Artificial Intelligence (AI popularized by Minsky and Papert, both of M.I.T.) students. He was also from Fort Worth, Texas. He was the most serious bicyclist while I was new to it at the start. Below on the right is a picture of my bike. At that time road bikes were quite new, the traditional bikes having been Huffy bikes with wide handle bars and balloon tires. | =0= |

Will found all sorts of neat routes out beyond the Boston suburbs with really beautiful scenery and quiet rural roads like these. Wonderful. | =0= |
