My camera uses 3.5" diskettes to record pictures and at the higher resolution I now use can record about nine pictures per diskette. I have loads of old 3.5" diskettes (AOL used to send me a 3.5" diskette in the mail with their latest version about once a week ages ago and I would just save them for later use), so I brought 40 or so on my trip. However, I only took four on the first tour of Rome (not enough), so I was happy that Nikki was taking lots pictures. On future day trips I made sure that I brought plenty of diskettes. This and the next page will be pictures that Nikki took. The uneditted collection of Nikki's pictures can be seen at another page. Above are pictures of the repaited sections of the coliseum. Here is a picture of the Arch of Constantino. Below are pictures of Jay. Arch of Constantino. =0=

Above is a picture of the map of the interior of the Coliseum. Next to that is Nikki's finger. Her camera has a view finder as well as an image dispaly. However, the image display drains the batteries (4 double As) and is hard to see in bright sunlight. However, the viewfinder doesn't show where your fingers are. There weren't many homeless people / beggars on the streets around the tourist areas, but there were plenty of people in costume. They seemed happy for people to take their picture and we presumed they hoped for tips. We were too shy to take many pictures of them (as we weren't comfortable with tipping them). Most were in Roman soldier costumes, but there others in funny costumes. One was in green paint and was very still. Looked like the Statute of Liberty. That was pretty cool, though still shots lose much of the effect (and videos are worse). After the coliseum we walked by the Arch of Constantino which is shown here and below. Above are more pictures of the Arch of Constantino. We passed through the Roman forum again on our way back to meet the bus. They were one set of ruins there where they had a set it up for concerts and such. It had gates and fences as shown here. Below are more pictures from the Roman forum. Roman Forum. =0=
