Mike and I sat at one table (left) while Lamala and his wife, Tacho, sat at another smaller table (right). Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Thanksgiving Dinner. Thanksgiving Dinner.
On Saturday, November 24, Mike and I drove out to visit our Uncle Al. He is 83 and has had a couple of strokes. As a result, he no longer lives on his on but instead is in the Walnut Hill Nursing Home. It is a very nice home. Al is my father's twin brother and while they certainly looked a lot alike, they had quite distinct personalities in my own mind. Walnut Hill Nursing Home, Dallas, Texas. Mike and our Uncle Al.
I wasn't able to find work delivering packages and driving trucks during the holiday rush (most positions were already filled). Here is the bulk mail center in Dallas; clearly they were not accepting applications. So, it is back to working as a day laborer. Perhaps this summer I can work as a mover and upgrade my commerical driver's license to Class A (tractor trailers). My first choice was Labor Force Staffing in Irving, TX.
