As my stay in Hawaii was drawing to a close, my cousin Mary and I realized that we wouldn't have many chances to see each other. She regularly babysits with her grandson, Rider (above) on Friday evening so that her son, Chris (below) and his wife, Amber, can work. Mary had mentioned to me that Hawaians really love a local chain restaurant, Zippy's, which is a little similar to Denny's. That sounded a little strange to me as Denny's is OK, but not anything I would get attached to. So, I really wanted to go to Zippy's and we took Rider with us that last Friday evening. It turned out Chris had time to have dinner with us as the bar which he tends on Friday evenings (one of his many jobs) had temporarily lost their liquor license (how strange). Zippy's really does have a nice character that I could easily grow attached to and I am glad that I went. Rider got a grilled cheese sandwich (below) and was a model child while we were there (he had been napping when I arrived, above). Mary Margaret and Rider. =0=

Here and below are pictures of Chris and Rider. I never got a picture of Amber. Doh! Oh well, perhaps next time I am out this way. Rider is so cute and clever. Now when asked if he wants some milk, he might answer 'Or juice?'. If asked if he wants yogurt, he might answer 'Or cookies?' Very cute. Chris and Rider. =0=
