We have chants regularly at the local Siddha Yoga Meditation chanting and meditating group at Joan's house below just North of Troy. We do the Gurugita on the first Sunday and have a satsang on the third Sunday morning. My new house in Watervliet is about halfway there and so with the nice weather I have started bicylcing there. I discovered that there is a converted railway bike trail that goes most of the way there. It goes along the old Boston and Maine Railroad right of way and is called the Uncle Sam Bikeway. It started out pretty uninteresting (as above) but got much nicer. It does not see to get much use. | =0= |

Toward the end of August Duchess County has their fair in Rhienbeck, NY. When Jay was in high school in Yorktown, NY, one of his best friends was Liz. Liz and Barbara became really good friends and Liz visits Barbara each summer. When she was visiting this summer was during the county fair and so they were going. Jay and I met them there. | =0= |

Duchess County has a heavy 4H input with exhibits of local rabbits, goats, cows, etc.. Above is a model cow for posed pictures with me in it. I also made a video of a baby goat exploring its pin. There is also a video of piglets squirming while their mom sleeps. | =0= |

Above are some of the cows which competed. Barbara's school district in Copake, NY is quite rural and so many of her students had animals who were entered in the Duchess County fair. Above are some of the nicer looking cows that were entered along with a boy resting with his entry. We were also able to watch some of the evaluation of cattle as seen here and in this video. | =0= |
