At the end of April was another Dance Deepening Weekend at Abraham and Halima's farm house outside of Athol, MA. This was a continuation of the one in December 2009. The weekend started on the last Friday in April so there was no conflict with the New Paltz dance circle. Karuna met me at the Saugerties exit off the NY Thruway where I left my car at a Park and Ride (above) and we commuted together the rest of the way. Below are pictures of Abraham and Halima's farm house in the spring (no snow like the last weekend).	=0=

The trees were just blooming and the weather was wonderful. We were able to have our dances in the Yurt or circular tent which was down a lovely path from the farmhouse as shown here and below. We did some dances Friday evening and had some organizational discussions in the Yurt, but the interior of the Yurt was only lit with strings of miniture white 'Christmas' lights. No pictures from those dances.	=0=

Hurash, Leon and I were the three single guys at the retreat and we stayed in the loft above the barn, the men's dorm so to speak. However, at 7:15AM Abraham led chanting practices in the loft (it was still chilly in the mornings and the loft was warmer) so we were up by then in any case (actually we were all up before that and meditating). Here is a picture of Arif, Amina, Yaja and Candi at the morning practices in the loft. There are also short videos of one chant and the candle at the center (below). I think below there is also a picture of Tom who came out from Newton to repair the pump for outdoor showers (but I am not sure).	=0=

There was a smaller barn underneath the loft shown above with a workshop where Tom repaired the pump and also a work area where vegetables and such were chopped (above). You can see the stairs to the loft on the left and the entrance to the house on the right. There were three mentor leaders at the retreat, Abraham (above), Yasmin and Halima (shown here chatting with Karuna between them).	=0=
