Rome, Italy. =0= Rome, Italy. =0=
We had pizza on our walk, but at breakfast I had taken extra bread, ham, and cheese which I had made up for my lunch. So that was my dinner and the kids went shopping and had the best watermelon for dinner. These are pictures Nikki took of their dinner and some flowers she saw. The next day (Tuesday) we were off to Florence and, below, are pictures from the bus trip. Rome, Italy. =0=

From Rome we went by bus to Florence with stops in Pisa and then Lucca. We went along the east coast which was pretty, though Italy was pretty dry then. Our first stop was Pisa. Here is a dome they had. Below is their cathedral and the leaning tower. On the other side of the square from the museum and dome was a museum. They were pretty commercialized with one central office next to the museum to buy tickets for any of the attractions. The tickets for the tower were pricey and only ten people or so were allowed each fifteen minutes. The queue (reserved time slots) was longer than our stay so that wasn't an option. The musuem was pricey, too, so we skipped that. We did visit the cathedral which was more reasonably priced. Pisa Dome. =0=

The leaning tower was not that impressive, but it is historic. The cathedral was quite impressive. These are pictures I took of the interior. Pisa Cathedral. =0=
