Above is a pciture of a building in the square being renovated with a really impressive tarp. Next to that and here are canals that we passed on our way back home. I took a short video of a gondolier pushing gondola along the canal. There were lots of cool sites along the way. Below is a street scene and an art work in a shop. The art work was tiny. I believe that is wax art work on knitting needles. | =0= |

We headed back to the bus terminal, but didn't have a map. We got to the Grand Canal which winds through the center of Venice back to the bus terminal. We had a hard time asking directions, perhaps because everyone would just point us to the way to walk, but we wanted to know which water bus to take. Well, there was only one water bus on the Grand Canal and there were only two ways to go on it, so it was a pretty silly question (they just pointed us in the right direction. Silly us. Above is a picture of the water bus we took home. These are scenes along the Grand Canal. | =0= |

As Venice is slowly sinking and sea levels slowly rising, there are some older buildings where the first floor is no longer habitable (flooded much of the time) like that shown above. Below are pictures of the Ponte di Rialto or the Rialto Bridge) | =0= |
