When I got to Tennessee it was way cold with temperatures from 10F (low) to 30F (high). I looked into the chemicals you can add to concrete so that it will set at any temperature, but it was really cold and we decided it would just be better to wait until it was warmer. Instead we looked at Herb's chain saws. He has three. I worked on one changing the pull cord. It was an interesting puzzle getting the rewind spring set right. Herb sharpened the chains on the other two. Ruby has a really nice Canon camera and took these pictures. Herb and Brian. =0=

At breakfast I would normally sit on the far side of their dining room table and Ruby was interested by the profile the sun made of me. She took the picture above and here. Brian. =0=

Herb and I made a couple trips to their wood lot on the other side of the mountain. It is a 13 acre lot where they had been planning on building a house. Above is a picture of the 'driveway' on the lot. However, Ruby really doesn't like Chattanooga that much and they hope to move somewhere else for their retirement. So, Herb cuts down the smaller trees (less than 5 inches diameter according to the Homeowners Association rules) and loads them on the trailer (above) to be cut into firewood. Jake, their dog loves to run around the wood lot while we work (also above) Herb is really fast with a chainsaw (and strong holding the chainsaw with one hand and holding the working with the other) as you can see in this short video and a longer video. On their wood lot there is a stream that run through it. I took the pictures above, here, and below of their stream. Also got a couple of videos of the stream. Woodlot Stream, Signal Mtn, TN. =0=
