There was also a small zoo at the Duchess County Fair (which appears to be a permanent feature at that location run by the local NRA chapter for donations). Above is a picture of Barbara taking pictures of a baby monkee and Liz and Jay. The local 4H ran a snack bar where we got milk shakes. They used the snack bar to raise funds. Previously they had had better prices than most vendors but this year their prices were more like the usual fair prices. They also had a sand castle competition (below). | =0= |

Another attraction at the Duchess County Fair was Rosaire's Racing Pigs. It was a free act with lots of hype, much of it promoting the 'for fee' rides between the acts. They had three races, the first was Vietnamese pigs, shown here, and I made a video. The American piglets (above) were next. The last were full grown pigs (below) and they were real slow, hardly interested in getting around the track at all. | =0= |

Another attraction at the Duchess County Fair was the 'Artic Olympic High Dive Show'. There were several athletic high divers who added various antics as 'penguins'. | =0= |

Above is a picture Barbara took of me with Liz and Jay in the background as well as her picture of the piglets (much nicer). You can see more of her pictures on flickr along with her copyright notice. They also had a tractor pull which I made a video of. Clearly they had weight / size limit as they used only tiny tractors. The more modern (large size) tractor was used to pull the weights back. While we were waiting for the high dive show, Barbara, Liz, Jay, and I got into a camera war trying to take pictures of each other while not permitting pictures of ourselves. My phone got the two pictures below of Liz and Jay in war mode. | =0= |
