Here are some some early pictures from
my mom's photo album.
The first set are from NYC, NY 1975 and the
Cloisters.
Then there are pictures from West Point, NY 1975,
and pictures from Washington, DC 1975 by
air with pictures of the lab I later worked at as it was under construction.
and pictures from the usual tourist sites in Washington, DC 1975.
There are also pictures from my trip to Charleston, SC 1975
and then to historic Jamestown, VA..
From there I caught a MAC (Military Airlift Command) flight to England and visited London.
Then I took the train to Dover and ferry to
Calais and train to Paris.
I went back through London and visited my relative in Yorkshire, England.
Then I was off to M.I.T. where I took
some pictures.
During 1975 I dated a woman, Dee, and we visited places around the area
including Sturbridge Village and
Plymouth Plantation in Massachusetts (her family lived in Central MA).
We took a trip to see the foliage in New England..
In 1976 I took more pictures around M.I.T...
And in the summer there were trips to San Antonio and
then to Houston, TX where I visited their zoo.
From late 1975 to early 1977 my main activity when not studying and such was
bicycling and there is long series of pages of my
bicycling friends and our trips.
There are also pictures of the autumn foliage
and Barbara.
And more pictures of M.I.T., this time
in winter with snow.
Barbara took a trip back to NY and visited West Point.
In June of 1977 Barbara and I took our honeymoon in
Nova Scotia, Canada.
The next set are from Washington, DC 1979
with the zoo, my brother and dad visiting,
Naval Ordinance Lab (NOL),
our house in Maryland and the University of Maryland.
In 1979 we also took a trip to Needham, MA
and saw our god daughters' dedications.
In 1980 I took a trip to San Diego, CA
with a flight over the Grand Canyon and Rockies. I also visited their zoo.
We also visited my cousin Amy in St. Augustine, FL.
In 1981 Barbara got her M.L.S. (Masters of Library Science) from the
University of Maryland at College Park, MD. There are pictures of her
graduation and we took a trip to
Needham, MA and got pictures of Barbara's
home through most of her child hood.
In the summer of 1981 we visited
England and my distant cousin Maude
with her husband Edward.
In 1982 Barbara was pregnant and we had
our first son, David.
In 1982 we also moved to New York where I worked for IBM Research in
Yorktown, NY. There are more pictures of David.
Toward the end of my time at IBM Research I worked as a staff person
for the Vice President of Computer Science and made up some fun color.
When we visited Dallas in 1985, my brother
took some great pictures of David and Jay.
Toward the end of my time with IBM I worked as a staff person and
help up make up slides (they were pretty
impressive at the time). They were also suprisingly accurate for a ten
year outlook on technology (the non confidential version).
I was an Aerobic Dancing instructor and went to a get away which visited
Universal Studios in Orlando, FL.
After the divorce the kids and I visited
my family in Dallas in 1990.
There was also a training program for Personal
Trainers in Albany, NY.
There are some pictures of the kids and my
friend Susan in 1992

This was the tail end of slide film that was mounted. My guess is that
it is from Taiwan in 1978. Who is to know? |

I was at West Point from 1971 to 1975. My first assignment was M.I.T. until
1977. My new assignment was in Korea with a separate page
about the trip there, the time there, and the return trip. I worked at
Harry Diamond Labs just outside of Washington, D.C. until 1982 and then
worked for I.B.M. in New York.
